RWR’s Roger Robinson Comments in Financial Times on DoD List of PLA Contractors

On June 24, the Financial Times reported on a new list of Chinese companies published by the U.S. Department of Defense that identifies those entities determined to be both tied to the Chinese military (the Peoples Liberation Army) and operating in the the United States. The list was published per requirements laid out in the 1999 National Defense Authorization Act that had never been fulfilled and included several publicly-traded companies. RWR’s CEO, Roger Robinson, offered the following comments in this piece.

The complete disconnect between the US security community and Wall Street fund managers and index providers will probably prove unsustainable, especially for the Wall Street folks

Company names identified on the list, included: China Telecom, China Mobile, Inspur, Huawei and Hikvision.
