RWR’s research on the track records of Chinese companies is used to build lists of entities that carry exposure to certain categories of non-financial risk factors, such as national security and human rights. These lists are available to investors and asset managers for risk management and compliance purposes.

RWR provides data that identifies and scores the exposure of Chinese companies to reputational risk and other non-financial risk factors. This data identifies ties to national security concerns, such as significant links to China’s People’s Liberation Army, and human rights related abuses, such as the sale of products that have been used in the crackdown on the minority Uighur population in Xinjiang.

RWR’s data is based on extensive research into Chinese companies regarding their behavior within China and abroad. The subjects covered and the scoring of the resultant risk exposure is based on a methodology that has been refined over eight years of daily research that has gone into building RWR’s data set. The information is captured and delivered in a format that is easily ingested into compliance processes.
